ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

The active ingredients in cannabis are THC or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, cannabidiol (CBD), and cannabinol (CBN). THC is responsible for the intoxicating effects (feeling "high" or "stoned"). CBD does not cause intoxication but rather has calming and pain-relieving effects. CBN, like CBD, has many interesting medicinal properties and provides a nice balance to the intoxicating effects. It gives a more stoned and lethargic feeling.

The amount and ratio of THC and other cannabinoids in a plant determine the effects of the cannabis. It is a common misconception that a high percentage of THC produces the strongest high. This depends heavily on the other cannabinoids present and the terpene profile. Because we know the exact composition of all our products through testing, we can provide better advice on the expected effects.

PESTICIDES

The same pesticides used in vegetable and fruit farming are often used in marijuana cultivation. However, the dosage is not adjusted to account for the fact that these pesticides are ingested differently - not orally but through the lungs. There is still insufficient research on how harmful this can be. A common complaint from cannabis users after smoking weed with more pesticides is a "cotton head" feeling, which is a dull, hangover-like sensation.

At the testing laboratories, a standard has been established for the maximum amount of pesticides. Anything below that limit is safe for use. The products we sell meet that strict standard.

terpenes

Terpenes are the aromatic oils that a cannabis plant produces. They largely determine the character and flavor profile of the product. They can also play a role in the effects, but they do so in a different way. Cannabinoids (THC, CBD, and CBN) bind directly to cannabinoid receptors in your body (brain and gut) to have an effect, while most terpenes interact with other receptors. Terpenes do not produce a psychoactive high like THC does. They work more subtly and change the mood through interaction with the serotonin and dopamine systems. So, it is the interaction and ratio of all components that together create a specific effect.

MOLD

Mold is common in batches of marijuana. Often, they are not visible to the naked eye. Smoking cannabis is already unhealthy for the lungs, but smoking cannabis with mold is really dangerous and can cause major health problems. That's why it's especially important to only use tested cannabis products.
